A Portuguese startup transforming e-waste management.

Simby is a Portuguese startup based in Porto managing a digital WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) marketplace. Our mission is to accelerate the circular economy in electronics waste management, connecting e-waste producing companies with specialised recyclers through transparent and efficient electronic auctions.

Internationally recognised, Simby was the ClimateLaunchpad Portugal 2023 winner - the world's largest cleantech ideas competition - representing Portugal in the European finals, and a 2023 Green Alley Award finalist, one of Europe's most prestigious circular economy recognitions.

Register and submit your WEEE

Describe the equipment lots you wish to divest, with photos and technical specifications.

Analysis and certification

Simby collects a sample for laboratory analysis. Equipment is catalogued and classified in our database.

Countdown auction

We run a competitive electronic auction, securing the best bid from registered recyclers.

Collection and payment

The auction winner arranges collection and transport. You receive the agreed value securely.

Access the European market

Access WEEE lots from qualified companies across the European Union, without commercial prospecting.

Detailed information

Analysis data, metal composition and certification available before bidding.

Bid competitively

Participate in structured auctions with clear, transparent rules in real time.

Grow your business

Expand your supplier network without the costs of traditional commercial prospecting.

Drop off at a partner NGO

Take your equipment to a nearby Simby partner NGO - simple and free of charge.

Aggregation and auction

Simby aggregates and auctions the equipment on the marketplace to certified recyclers.

Value for the NGO

The value obtained at auction goes entirely to the partner NGO in your area.

Certified recycling

Your e-waste is recycled in a certified and responsible manner, with full traceability.

Data Erasure

Secure, certified removal of personal data and sensitive information from devices before resale or recycling.

Recycling Certificates

Technical evaluation and condition grading of equipment before auction, ensuring greater transparency and trust.

Shipping & Logistics

Full support in transport and logistics management, compliant with European legislation applicable to electronic waste.
